Bandai Releases First Quarter (March 2022) Sales Results
Bandai had released the Sales results for the First Quarter of the Fiscal Year ending March 31, 2022. Here's the summary of that.
Ultraman IP has major increased sales in both Groupwide and Toys and Hobby Business, Japan compared to last year. Ultraman IP has increased by 1.2 billion yen in Groupwide & 0.6 billion yen in Toys and Hobby Business, Japan, both compared to last year's first quarter. We have to consider the fact that only Ultraman Chronicles air in the first quarter and not the actual series.
Kamen Rider's IP sales have decreased. In Groupwide, sales have decreased by 0.3 billion yen and in Toys and Hobby Business, Japan it has decreased by 0.8 billion yen when compared with last year's first results. Last year in the first quarter, we were struck with COVID-19 which also put Kamen Rider Zero-One on hiatus. But that wasn't even the case this year. So is the Kamen Rider Saber series to blame?
Super Sentai IP sales are stable enough compared to the full-year results we got for the Fiscal Year ending March 2021. Groupwide sales have remained the same as last year's first quarter - 1.4 billion yen. But on Toys and Hobby Business, Japan, there is a decrease of 0.1 billion yen compared with last year's first quarter.
